Shears. -- The detachable blades of sheep shears are made with a turned--over lap B. The extension C of the handle D fits in between the blade the the lap and is provided with studs G, G2, which engage respectively with an open slot E, and a hole in the blade. The studs are preferably made by indenting the metal extension C. The stud G2 may be carried on a spring piece formed by slitting the extension C, or the extension is made to project further beyond the lap. The studs may be made on the lap B and the holes in the extension.Cataloged By
