Shears, sheep. The shears are made from bar steel. A bar for one limb of a double-bow shears is forged in tools to the successive forms of Figs. 2, 3, and 10, producing the stop D, butt of the blade E, and partly formed shank F. The shank and blade are formed, as show in dotted lines, by drawing. Lastly the shank is trough in a matrix by a die with a recess to form a fillet at the neck. With modified tools single-bow shears are similarly made.Cataloged By
