Shears. -- The blades 1, which are hollow, are made double-edged, one edge being serrated, and are formed with sectoral bearings 4, on which the handles 15 are secured at the required angle to the central lines of the blades, the radial edges 6, 7 of these bearings forming short blades to co-operate with the outer edges of the main blade. The pivot pin 10, which passes through the blades and two blocks 8 in their hollows, has two recesses 11 cut in its protruding end, and is held by a spring cottar 12 having a keyhole slot 14 to pass over it. The handles are secured to the blades by bolts 19 having their heads in the hollows, and by shorter bolts 25 having flush heads in the bearing parts of the blades.
