9041. Chandler, W. May 7. Scissors for cutting wicks. The pivoted blades 10, 11 have their outer edges 12, 14 raised to form a trough to retain the charred particles removed from the wick, the trough being completed by a transverse spring 16 on the upper blade. This spring also tends to maintain the two blades in contact and to assist the positive action of the cutters.
