A. J. Jordan was a cutlery company based in St Louis, Missouri, with a factory based in Sheffield. There is no date on the catalogue, but the factory address at Baker's Hill dates it between the late 1880s - 1900, around which date the factory had moved to Furnival Street (ref: Tweedale, 2010). This tallies with a handwritten note saying "1890" in the top left hand corner of the introductory page.
