Barlows & Deakin were listed as fine scissor makers in Robinson's directory of 1797. Their address is listed as 3 Green Lane, and their mark is shown as the word "BARLOW". They subsequently appear in Holden's (1811) as manufacturers of steel scissors, again at Green Lane.
