Buttonhole Scissors illustrated in the Thomas Turner & Co. catalogue of 1925. Buttonhole scissors are short and sturdy scissors and can either be fixed (as in the scissors illustrated on the far left, centre, and far right of the picture) or adjustable (as in the second left and second right images). They are designed for cutting small slits in fabric, while leaving the outer edge of the fabric untouched.Category
