Sheep &c. shears. -- Relates to sheep and other shears in which the blades are made separate from the handles and are attached thereto. The blades are formed with tangs, having projections which pass through holes in the handle and are riveted over. The handles are bent over and closed so as to fit the tangs tightly. The blades, or the tangs, or both, are set back or recessed so that the handles are even with the blades when in position. The blades and tangs may be flyed out of sheet steel and the handles from sheet iron or steel. The handles have projections, at or near the ends, which are level and project at one or both sides of the blade.Cataloged By
