1221. Myers, T., and Duce, J. March 27. Sheep shears, making. -- Heated bars or billets of steel or iron and steel are converted into blanks by passing them through rolls, one of which has a sunk or recessed part, forming the counter-part of the blank, as shown in Fig 2. The counter-part may be sunk in each roll. The rolls may be of steel or chilled cast iron, or other suitable metal.
