Bow shears. -- A rod D, Fig. 1, is secured to one blade shank and passes through a slot b in the other. A head d on the rod prevents the blades overlapping on the wrong side by opening too far. In order to press the blades together the rod D may be bent so as to act as a spring. The shank B, Fig. 2, of one blade may be jointed by a rivet E to the bow. A thumb-screw F passes through the two parts of the joint as is removed when it is required to open out the blades for sharpening.Relationships
