Shears. -- Sheep shears are constructed with the curved sides a, b, butting together and riveted to a strap c, the edges of which overlap at the front or back. The space between the edges d, e may be filled by an inner piece. In another form, a flat cover is riveted on one or both sides of the joint. In a modification shown in Fig. 6, a bend cover is formed with a recess m engaging butting ribs on the sides a, b, Fig. 1, the cover being slid on from the side.Cataloged By
