Scissors and the like are fitted with a sheath a, Fig. 2, mounted on the rivet or screw securing the scissor blades together or on a separate pin, rivet, or screw b fitted in one of the shanks c. The sheath, which is preferably made of metal, is open along one edge, and its sides are slightly curved, as shown in Fig. 5, to pass and clip over the blades. The act of opening the blades pushes back the sheath, which may be further turned to the position shown in dotted lines. The sheath may be used for advertisement purposes, and, according to the Provisional Specification, may contain a knife, pencil, or other article.Cataloged By
