Description

1873. Walker, H. May 4. [Provisional protection only.] Scissors and shears. -- The blank for the blade is stamped from sheet metal, the finger hole being afterwards punched out. The blank is then placed in another fly press or stamping-machine, in which the blade is formed by dies. To economize metal, the finger hole may be made of the shape shown in Fig. 4, and be afterwards enlarged.
