208. Perry, H. J. Jan. 16. Pocket and chatelaine scissors. -- The socket bows A, A allow a sliding action up and down the shank, or stem, of scissor blades. The spring-catch at the bow, in chatelaine scissors, which clips the point of the blade when shut up, is dispensed with, and the scissors, when closed up, are shorter than usual.
