Scissors and shears for cutting sheet metal, rubber, leather, linoleum, &c., the construction permitting the material to lie practically flat, and the handle to remain entirely above the material, during cutting. The blades, 1, 2 have bevelled cutting-edges, and the lower blade 1, which slides on the table or support for the material, is given an offset in a horizontal plane, the upper blade 2 being offset in a vertical plane. The shanks 4, 18 connecting the blades to the handles are offset in opposite directions to bring the handles into a vertical plane, and are pivoted together by a screw 10 engaging a tapped hole in the shank 18 and provided with a nut and washer for securing the other shank.Cataloged By
