29150. Reitz, G. A. Dec. 30. Scissors. -- Relates to pivots for scissors and like implements in which two members are capable of free pivotal movement with respect to one another. The pivot consists of two sections B, B1. The barrel portion b of the section B is formed with rectangular bevelled slots b1 into which tongues b2 attached to the section B1 fit. The ends of the sections are provided with flanges b3, b4, and the intermediate portion when the sections are drawn and held together by a screw C presents a smooth cylindrical bearing-surface.Cataloged By
