3189. Hunt, B., [Brisbane, S. H.]. Oct. 19. Scissors. -- A gauge or measure for the purpose of cutting a certain width of material is fitted to one of the blades. A bevelled slot is formed in the blade a to receive a scale c, held in place by a wedge d, Fig. 1, or by a thumb-screw e, Fig. 2, which passes through a slot in the scale.
