Shears. -- For detaching grain-sheaf and other wire bindings. Jaws with cutting-edges sever the wire binding, and have a plain part to take hold of one of the severed ends and remove the binding from the article. The points of the jaws are spread out to facilitate one or the other of them being passed under the wire binding. The jaws are actuated by handles, one of which has a loop to protect the knuckles and fingers of the user. The wire-holding portions may be in a piece with the jaws, or affixed to them.
