Shears. -- Sheep shears are cast in two parts secured together by a pin a, Fig. 4. Pins c are formed on the inside of each handle and carry a spring b by which the blades are opened, shoulders d limiting the extent of opening, and shoulders e that of closing. In a modification shown in Fig. 6, metallic handles are cast on forged steel blades and a spring g is secured by pins or screws to the handles, and additional spring g* being fitted if necessary.Cataloged By
