Scissors and shears. -- To cut a bevel on the edge of hat brims to facilitate attachment of the strengthening-wire, a tipping piece A, Figs. 8 and 10, is attached to one of the blades of the scissors or shears. The piece A shown is of brass and is soldered to the blade.
