793. Wilks, S. Feb. 26. Pruning-shears. -- These are formed with a double claw or jaw, open or closed at the extreme point, between the sides of which a cutting-blade works freely. The double claw or jaw can be made so as to take part in the cutting operation; or to hold the tree or hedge bough only while being cut.
