Scissors and shears and made with one blade 1, Fig. 2, screw-threaded to receive the screwed end of the pintle 3. A bearing-ring 6, mounted on the smooth bore 5 in the blade 4, and preferably provided with a seat 7 for the head of the pintle, intervenes between the head and shank of the pintle and the blade 4, the latter turning on the outer surface of the ring 6 and not touching the pintle. To support and prevent the ring 6 from turning, the latter is rigidly attached to an arm 9 having curved flanges 10, to secure it to the shank 14 of the blade 1, or it is rigidly attached to the blade 1 as show in Fig. 4.Cataloged By
