A pair of scissors with an ivory overlay on one side of the pivot area; the reverse side is marked with "MATTHEWM[AN?] PAT SHEF". There was a scissor maker in Sheffield in the 1800s called Matthewman, so it could be one of theirs. The blade is bodkin with cs2 cross section.Category
