Description

A small pair of manicure scissors with triple bow, based on a British patent (458945) from 1936. The patent (copy attached) relates to scissors designed to be used more easily by right- and left-hander: "This invention relates to scissors, shears and like shearing instruments of the type comprising a pair of hinged blade members crossing one another at the hinge, and provided with bows to embrace respectively the thumb and a finger or fingers of the hand, and has for its main object the provision of an improved construction to facilitate the use of such an instrument by the right or left hand at will.". The shank is tup, shoulder transition is st1, cross section is cs4, and the point is leaf. The outer edge of each blade has been fashioned into a nail file.
