Description

Leaf Blade CS8, ST1 Dot and line decoration on nail whole area. Nail rivet (not screw). Wrought iron with forge welded steel cutting face. From the auction notes: Mid 18th Century. 6 3/4 in. (54.1 grams, 17 cm). Pontillé decoration to the body, keeled blades and small loop handles, mechanism still working. Found on the Thames foreshore in the 1980s.
