Thomas Walsh is listed as a common scissor manufacturer at Attercliffe in Gales & Martin (1787). Attercliffe is a suburb to the north east of the current city centre and would have been a rural community at the time. His mark is an image of a key. He is again listed as a scissor maker at Attercliffe in Robinson's (1797) but with no mark recorded against his listing.
