Plate 2, tome 2, from 'Traité des maladies et des opérations réellement chirurgicales de la bouche, et des parties qui y correspondent. Suivi de notes, d'observations and de consultations intéressantes, tant anciennes que modernes' by Anselme Louis Bernard Bréchillet Jourdain, 1778. This was the first specialist book dedicated to oral surgery in the 18th century, and was translated into English in the mid-nineteenth century."
