Description

A pair of wick trimming scissors marked PATENT with a crown symbol - the crown is a queen's crown, suggesting that the scissors may date from the Victorian era. The shank style is Spanish, and the cutting edge is attached to a box which would seal away the cut portion of the wick. Each bow has a leg which raises the majority of the scissors off the surface on which they are placed to prevent scorching.
