Description

William Cooper appears in Gales & Martin (1787) as William & Robert Cooper. They are listed as common scissor manufacturers at Ratten Row, and their mark is made of three elements stacked horizontally, from top to bottom: C; &; W. In Robinson's (1797) William Cooper was listed at 53 Hollis Street, and the mark had changed to "W & C". He was subsequently listed in the following directories: Holden's, 1811 - 33 Hollis Street Wardle & Bentham, 1814-15 - Hollis Croft Brownell, 1817 - Hollis Croft
