A first step in the accurate restoration of the Camron_Stanford House was an architectural survey of the building and an archival research project. Both were conducted by the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, who provided the research work and some manual labor, and a $25,000 gift for administrative costs, restoration work, and supported development of the period rooms.
