Description

This wooden tackle box with a galvanized metal insert tray was likely used in the 1930s and 40s. The first plastic tackle box was molded in 1952. Inside this tackle box we see various lures, bobbers, a bag of hooks, a lead weight with a brass trolley ready-to-go with the fishing rope already attached. We can see a glimpse of a vintage Ideal Split Shot metal tin under the brass trolley weight. Among the contents we find a wooden reel with a brass platelet next to a fishing bell. A Heddon Go-Deeper River Runt Spook Sinker sits in a metal compartment. The Heddon Company was founded in 1902 and began in the Heddon family kitchen in Dowagiac, MI. and continues to produce fishing lures today.
