Fliegende Blatter IllustrationContext
Translated as “Flying Leaves,” Fliegende Blatter was a German weekly published in Munich, Germany, between 1845 and 1944. The magazine was a humorous, satirical, although non-political publication. Its maximum circulation was about 95,000 in 1895. Aimed at an upper-middle-class audience, in 1928, it merged with its competitor Meggendorfer-Blatter. German artist Cobi Reiser painted the cover for this September 1924 edition.
