Description

This pointed lightning rod cap is black and made of metal. Pointed caps on lightning rods were believed to direct the current of a lightning strike more quickly, lessening the chance of a loud crack or snap in the event of a strike. Most metal tips like this would have capped copper cable that ran from the roof along the exterior of the building to the ground.
