Muskingum River State Park - The Princess, date unknown: The Princess was an excursion ship for pleasure cruising and a packet boat that hauled mail, cargo, and people. Built in 1900 at Harmar, Ohio, the Princess began life as the Francis J. Torrance. The Coney Island Company purchased the boat in 1905. The Princess cruised the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers for pleasure voyages and provided passenger service to Coney Island amusement park in Cincinnati. The Princess's name derived from providing support to Coney Island's premier steamboat named Island Queen. The Princess sank during the winter of 1917/18 after being crushed by ice in the frozen Ohio River.
