Elk Eye Mill

Muskingum River State Park - Elk Eye Mill, date unknown: Robert McConnell, the founder of McConnelsville, built the first mill on the site in 1830. Due to increasing business, the Elk Eye Mill was built at the same site around 1853. Part of the mill was destroyed in the devastating Great Flood of 1913. The mill never reopened and the structure was later razed.
