Winter Hike, 50th Annual - Hocking Hills State Park (2015)

Description

Since 1965, Hocking Hills State Park has hosted a winter hike. Visitors explore the caves, towering cliffs, waterfalls, gorges, and trails have been a longtime attraction for hikers and visitors from Ohio and the surrounding states. There is evidence that humans have inhabited the hills as long as 7,000 years ago, as well as the Wyandot, Delaware, and Shawnee tribes who traveled through or lived in the hills in the mid-1700s. Commemorating the 50th anniversary Winter Hike, this patch is in the shape of a snowflake with a blue and white background featuring a red cardinal, Ohio's state bird, and white snowflakes in the center and "50th Annual" in white letters. "Hocking Hills State Park" and "Winter Hike" are also embroidered on the patch in blue letters on a white background around the cardinal.
