Carved of tupelo wood, this female Northern Pintail decoy has some damage to her tail. Male Northern Pintails have distinctively long central tail feathers, which is how they got their common name.
Victor decoys were made by the Animal Trap Company of North America, in their Pascagoula, Mississippi plant. After 1950, the Victor decoys were plastic, not wood such as this one.Location
