Charles worked in real estate throughout his life. When his father-in-law, Robert Coulter was injured in a farming accident, Charles with his son Louis' help attempted to take over the family farm. Charles did try his best at real estate and farming, but it is told that he had a knack for neither. Eventually, the family farm had to be sold and the couple moved around quite a bit. After Louis bought and settled into Malabar Farm, Charles and Annette could often be found at The Big House spending their time surrounded by family. ________________________________ https://malabarfarm.org/bromfield-family-friends/
