Description

This three layer bustle, made with cloth and wire and including waist tapes, would be worn under a woman's skirts from 1880 to 1890s. These bustles were much less pronounced than some of the earlier versions, which could extend quite far behind them, and the styles themselves were simplified from the very elaborate gowns of earlier decades.
