Description

Carter's Two Solution Ink Eradicator from the Carter's Ink Company. Founded in 1858 by William Carter of Boston, Massachusetts, the Carter's Ink Company would become one of the largest ink producers in the world. Dennison Manufacturing Company bought it in 1976. Inside the metal case are two glass vials with droppers. To use the solution, the writer would add scant drops of the first liquid and blot it, then add the second liquid. After the second liquid dried, more of the first liquid would be added to resurface the paper. This ink eradicator is kept on Louis Bromfield's writing table next to his typewriter.
