Louis Bromfield's mother, Annette Marie Coulter Bromfield, commonly referred to as Nettie, was born to Robert M. and Susan Adelaide (Barr) Coulter in Mansfield, Ohio in 1864. Nettie Coulter married Charles Bromfield in 1885. They had three children Marie(1886), Louis (1896), and Charles (1899).
While Charles Bromfield and Nettie (Coulter) Bromfield were both born near Mansfield, Ohio, the census shows their residences listed in New York and New Jersey from 1930-1940. Nettie moved back to Ohio in with Louis and his family after Charles's death in 1944.
