Anne was one of three daughters born to Louis Bromfield and Mary (Appleton) Bromfield. Anne was born in 1925 in New York City. Anne never married and remained at The Big House at Malabar Farm until her father's death, at which time Anne went to stay with family friends and then moved in with her sister Hope until her death in 2001.
