A variety of Ohio hunting licenses are displayed here, ranging from 1938--the first year licenses were required--into the 1970s. There have been many changes in the licenses over the years, including in the material and presentation of the licenses. The number of licenses sold has also changed significantly over the years. In 1958, about 7% of residents bought hunting licenses. That number dropped to only a little more than 3% in 2018, with those numbers continuing to decrease.Collection
