Description

The Dormeyer electric mixer began production in 1927 with one of the first patents for the product. Albert Dormeyer's product sold very well for what was at that time McLeod Manufacturing. In fact, the Made in Chicago Museum notes "In the July 1929 issue of Hardware Age, it was reported that 'sales of the Dormeyer electric food mixer for the first six months of 1929 ran more than 500 percent ahead of the same period of a year ago.'" Dormeyer would also create an early version of a stand mixer, inspiring the Sunbeam and Kitchen-Aids that came out later.
