Description

This is a Reed & Barton silverplate punchbowl with a matching ladle. The bowl is engraved with "Malabar Farm" on one side and on the opposite side as a monogrammed "L.B.," which stands for Louis Bromfield. In addition, there are silver hallmarks on the bottom of the bowl that consist of a flower symbol and the number 108. The top of the ladle handle is also monogrammed with "L.B." Reed & Barton was founded in 1824 in Taunton, Massachusetts, making it one of the oldest privately owned silversmiths in the United States. The company is well-known for its silverplate flatware and giftware.
