Description

Eagle table on loan from the Marek Romer family. Features a scalloped top, pierced apron and 4 carbiole carved legs leading to paw feet. At the very center is a high relief carved American Eagle set into the table surface. Attributed to being carved for the 1876 centennial of the United States, other examples exist that are attributed to late dates in the early 20th century. Exact age and maker unknown.
