This restored 1931 Coast Guard SB (Type S) wooden hull-designed boat is an engine-powered craft and measures 25' and 10" long with a beam of 7' and 6" high and weighs approximately 4,000 pounds. It was installed at the Marblehead State Park Life Saving Station in 2016 following its long seven-year restoration. Although this boat was not used at the Marblehead location, it is typical of the boats used at lifesaving stations around the country.Location
