The 1995 Fish Ohio Pin features a bluegill sunfish. The fish has green scales and fins with an orange belly. The mouth is enameled in white. Fish Ohio is in all capital letters along the top border and the date is on the bottom border, both in silver. The background is a dark blue green.Context
The Fish Ohio program recognizes anglers for noteworthy catches of Ohio’s fish. Since 1976, more than 400,000 anglers have been recognized for their catches. The Ohio Division of Wildlife took over the program's management in 1980.
Each angler with a qualifying catch receives a collectible Fish Ohio lapel pin. Each year’s pin has a different species of fish on it, along with the year, so the pin that the angler receives won’t necessarily have the same fish on it as the qualifying fish caught. Fish must be taken by legal angling and not from pay lakes.Collection
