Description

Done in a Scandinavian mid-century modern style, this carved wooden bull features leather ears, a yarn tail, a metal ring in the nose, and horns made of another material. A similar bull was described as having horns made out of bone. This style of carvings can be found in a variety of different animals. Artists such as Arne Tjomsland and Kay Bojesen created animal carvings of this type, although this example cannot be traced to a specific artist. Kay Bojesen designed children's toys in this style, but his often featured moveable parts which are not present in the bull.
