Description

Manufactured by the Courtley Clock Company of New York, NY, this mantel clock has two frosted glass sides and gold accents. The majority of the clock is black metal, including the feet and corresponding pieces protruding from the top. The glass sides show a geometric pattern in black printed on the frosted glass. Mantel clocks were first produced in the mid-1700s. Their smaller housings made them popular, because they could fit in smaller spaces, like the mantels in their name.
